Hunter Helicopter Charters was formed in December 2004 receiving its Air Operators Certificate from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority in May 2005 and an Air Transport Licence in June 2005.

Newcastle Regional Heliport

Hunter Helicopter Charters conducts most flights from Newcastle Regional Heliport. The recently-built hanger has all the modern conveniences for passengers including a waiting lounge, coffee facilities, rest rooms, viewing deck and car park. The Heliport is 10 minutes drive from Newcastle CBD in Steel River Industrial Park and 20 minutes drive from Newcastle Regional Airport.
